His background in Pentecost and contact with some of the great early pioneers in Africa have uniquely fitted him for the task of sharing practical ways in which your congregation can find the guidance of the Holy Spirit in their lives.
Jim Cole-Rous started his ministry in 1958 while still in the Assemblies of God Bible School in Brakpan, South Africa. He sucessfully planted 5 Churches in South Africa during the first 12 years of his ministry, among them Pretoria, Kimberley and Rustenburg Assemblies.
He then served as a Missionary Pilot, flying in 14 countries for Missionary Aviation Fellowship from 1970 to 1980.
In 1980 Jim & Rowena were invited on staff at Wilmington First Assembly of God in Los Angeles, to direct all the Children's Ministries, which they did for 5 years.They trained 25 workers and saw tremendous growth in the Children's Work.
In 1985 they resigned their post to become full time Children's Evangelists, holding Revivals on the West Coast of America and in the Ozarks, and registered over 20,000 decisions for Christ in the 22 years on the road. In 2002, they felt led of the Lord to relocate to Springfield MO from where they continued this team work until the end of 2007.
Jim continues in full time ministry and he is available to assist your church with resources from the world wide Internet ministry of "Network 211", as well as his own Children's Teacher Training Workshops and DVD training series.
In January 2008, Jim volunteered part time at Network 211.
In May 2009 Jim accepted the position of Chief Content Officer with Network 211.
On Oct. 15th 2008 Network 211 launched the Internet outreach
to touch 10 million people with the Gospel in the next 10 years.
The first Million people were reached by Feb 15th 2010.
